Created 33 forests in India in 2 years 

Shubhendu sharma an industrial engineer, he left his high paying job at Toyota to plant trees for the rest of his life. His company named ‘Afforestt‘ converts any land of 1000 square feet size into a forest.

  • His forests are not only self-sustainable, but also maintenance free after first three years. Irrespective of soil and climate conditions ‘Miyawaki Technique‘ is a unique methodology proven to work worldwide.
  • Compared to other methodology this methodology are up-to 30 times more dense then conventional plantations with 30 times better noise, dust reduction, carbon dioxide absorption capability as compared to a mono-culture plantation.
  • As he learnt Miyawaki’s technique from Akira Miyawaki, whom he volunteered to cultivate a forest in Toyota plant has helped regenerate forests across the world and Shubhendu replicated the model in India.
  • He created a team of 10 members in Bangalore and received his first order from German furniture maker to plant about 10,000 trees.
